1. Core Advantages - Choose the Section by the Load
Load case → profile:
Bending beam → I-beam. Depth where the bending moment is: section depth buys bending stiffness with almost no added weight.
Torsion / column → round or square tube. Closed section resists twist; square faces let you bolt L-brackets and T-plates directly - no custom saddles.
Frame corner → angle (L-bar). Natural corner member with flat mounting faces.
Rail / platform crossbeam → C-channel. Open face for cable runs and accessory mounting.
Why pultrusion, not another process:
Axial fiber alignment. Fibers run straight along the bar - longitudinal modulus 120–160 GPa, and specific modulus roughly 3× aluminum and steel at the same stiffness.
Long, constant sections. Pulled to length, not molded part-by-part: straightness ~1 mm per 1000 mm, cross-section consistent run to run.
Honest trade-off. Pultrusion's strength is along the length; transverse properties are lower (typical transverse tensile ~48 MPa class) and minor fiber waviness costs ~10–20% compression strength vs. roll-wrapped tube. Design loads along the bar - that's where it's best.

2. Parameter Table (Typical Values)
Profile shapes:
| Profile | Typical size range | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Round tube | OD | Columns, booms, spars |
| Square tube | e.g. 6–50 mm class | Gantries, racks, frames |
| Angle (L-bar) | Leg | Frame corners, brackets |
| C-channel | Depth | Rails, crossbeams, cable runs |
| I-beam | Depth | Long-span bending beams |
| Flat strip | Width/thickness | Reinforcement, shims, slip joints |
Material & process properties:
| Property | Typical value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Longitudinal tensile modulus | 120–160 GPa | Standard-modulus class; T700S at 70% FVC ~160 GPa |
| Longitudinal tensile strength | ~2800 MPa | T700S UD profile, 70% FVC reference |
| Density | ~1.5–1.6 g/cm³ | vs. aluminum 2.7, steel 7.8 |
| CTE (axial) | ~0.2–1.0 ×10⁻⁶/°C | Near-zero thermal growth along length |
| Cross-section tolerance | ±0.1–0.2 mm | Solid rod OD ±0.05–0.1 mm |
| Straightness | ~1 mm / 1000 mm | Standard production |
| Standard length | [需确认] | Cut to length on request |
Typical industry values; final values locked from your profile drawing and batch reports.
3. Customization - Two Levels
Level 1 - Standard section, cut to your drawing. Choose an existing cross-section; we cut to length, deburr ends, drill or slot mounting holes per your DWG/DXF. No new tooling, fast turnaround.
Level 2 - Custom cross-section die. When the section geometry itself is new (special channel, multi-cavity, hybrid glass-carbon outer layer), we design and cut the pultrusion die. Requires die lead time and MOQ [需确认], but gives you a section engineered for your load case.
DFM review before production: wall thickness, corner radii, and where holes will be drilled.
4. Company Advantages
Pultrusion is a continuous process - consistency is the product.
Pull & wet-out control. Fiber alignment and resin saturation held across the run - the reason straightness and modulus stay consistent batch to batch.
Die capability. Standard shapes in stock; custom dies designed in-house for new cross-sections.
One factory, documented material. Fiber grade, resin system and batch traceable; material property sheet ships with the order.
Export experience. Serving [machine builders /automation integrators /equipment OEMs] in [markets, 需补充]; certifications [ISO 9001 等,需补充].
Our boundary. We supply the profile and its measured properties. Structural load calculations, connection design and code compliance belong to your structural engineer - and we'll say so when the question comes up.
5. FAQ - Fabrication & Design Questions
Q: Can pultruded profiles be bent or curved? Pultrusion is a straight-length process. Curved members need a separate molded/formed process - ask, and we'll tell you if it's feasible for your section.
Q: Can I through-bolt directly through the wall? Avoid it. Bearing strength of carbon-epoxy is typically 300–600 MPa - far below steel - and through-bolts create shear-out risk well below the bar's axial strength. Use external brackets, T-plates or adhesive joints instead; ask us for joint guidance.
Q: What length and straightness can you supply? Standard production straightness ~1 mm per 1000 mm; lengths cut to your drawing, deburred.
Q: How long for a custom cross-section? Die design + lead time quoted per profile;. Standard sections ship from stock or cut-to-length quickly.
Q: Can profiles be adhesively bonded? Yes - epoxy bonding is standard for carbon profiles; surface preparation and joint design follow composite practice.
Q: Surface finish? Smooth as-pultruded; can be sanded or coated per requirement.
