This carbon support block is one of our custom machined composite parts. We start with solid autoclave carbon sheet stock, then run it through CNC routing to cut the outer profile and precision bore the inner round hole. Unlike metal brackets, it weighs far less, while still holding enough stiffness to keep alignment steady under static load. It also won't rust, and has low thermal conductivity, which helps in setups where heat transfer needs to be kept in check.
The weave you see is uniform across the part. We control the machining feed and speed carefully to keep edges clean, avoid fraying or chipping on the carbon surface. Every critical dimension and tolerance follows your drawing requirements. We can adjust the outer shape, inner bore diameter, mounting base and thickness to match your assembly.
Most of our customers order this style of carbon support for automation equipment, testing jigs, optical mounts and special machinery. It works well when you need to support a tube or shaft without adding extra weight.
