The fatigue limit of most metals is 30%-50% of their tensile strength, while the fatigue limit of carbon fiber composite materials can reach 70%-80% of their tensile strength, which can reduce physical injuries caused by sudden accidents during use, with high safety and long service life. In addition to the one-piece carbon fiber shell, the use of carbon fiber tubes as arm tubes and components for drones is also a very common form of application.
2. For industrial machinery
Large size carbon fiber tubes can be used in textile machinery, aluminum foil machinery, plastic film machinery, paper machinery, printing/printing and dyeing machinery industry, packaging machinery, yachts, cruise ships, wind turbines, fan drives, industrial pump systems, cooling towers and other industries. Take non-woven mechanical shafts as an example. Due to the special structure of the non-woven fabric, compared with the traditional woven fabric, its own cloth strength is small, but its elongation at break is relatively large. Therefore, the weight of the tension rollers must be very light. When the width of the non-woven fabric reaches or even exceeds 4 meters, the weight of the conventional steel roller increases a lot. In comparison, rollers made of carbon fiber tubes for non-woven machinery have a significant weight advantage, and the overall weight is very limited, even if the length is increased by a few meters. In this way, it can not only meet the production needs of increasing the width, but also reduce the labor intensity of the operator.
3. Intelligent mechanical telescopic arm
In carbon fiber manipulators, telescopic arm tubes are becoming more and more widely used. The length of the robotic arm can be extended from one meter to nearly three meters. Under the control of the main arm, the sleeve can extend the work box with detectors and other equipment at the front of the arm to a small and deep space that cannot be reached by the whole machine, effectively expanding the working range of this intelligent machine. The strength of the carbon fiber tube is very high, which not only can withstand the weight of the front-end detector well, but also its extremely light weight reduces the energy consumption in the mechanical working process to a low level, directly prolongs the working time, reduces the loss, and improves the work efficiency.
4. Medical equipment parts
Carbon fiber is a widely used medical device in carbon fiber medical board, and good X-ray transmittance is the outstanding advantage of carbon fiber medical board. In fact, the application of carbon fiber tubes in medical devices is also quite common. For example, in wheelchairs, carbon fiber is a better weight-saving component. Carbon fiber wheelchair accessories are more than half the weight of aluminum alloy accessories of the same specification, but much stronger.
